Sunday 23rd December 2012. We left the RV Charaidew early and drove North for 2 hours to the banks of the beautiful River Jia Bhoreli; we could see the snowcapped Himalayas in the distance. Donning life jackets we boarded our rubber dingy. Drifting gently down the river, expertly steered by local river boatmen, we eventually spotted 3 Ibisbills feeding in the shallowest part at a confluence of rivers. We were moved into position to get a better view; rather distant and very tricky to keep the camera stable, but an ornithological ambition fulfilled!
